Staying at Fortune Park Hotel Ahmedabad - a personal review
Secondly, this hotel is entirely different from Fortune Landmark Hotel which is at Ashram Road, Ahmedabad.
So when you are hiring transport from the airport or boarding the Airport Shuttle bus or taking an auto to and fro to tourist spots around the city, make sure you state that it is the hotel opposite Gujarat Law College. That way, you will not end up at the wrong hotel!
Talking about the hotel's location opposite Gujarat Law College, it is thankfully not a noisy area. What's more, we were really happy to see that right at the corner there were plenty of autos available, which is a huge plus point of this hotel. Whenever we stepped out, we were able to get an auto to wherever we wanted to go and we were able to reach our destination within less than an hour, no matter which major tourist attraction we visited. The only far-off destination was Sarkej Roza mosque, but this is basically on the outskirts of the city anyway and does involve a fair bit of travelling to reach it. And what a lovely stay it was on our three nights here! A warm "Namaste" at the front desk with a bottle of water and a glass of orange juice, a quick check-in and an immediate whisk up the lift to our room and we were already feeling welcome. The lobby of the hotel is spacious and comfy, a good place to just sit a while and unwind immediately after returning from a trip instead of heading to your room right away.

There is a laoptop and printer facility (charges will apply), too, on the ground floor if you reqire some quick work to be done.

A Board room for corporate meetings is located on the first floor, as well as banquet halls for functions. Banquet halls are also located on the 9th floor, where there is a Gymnasium with basic equipment.
We three ladies booked a room directly over the phone from home and requested a Standard room with twin beds and an extra roll-out bed. Since it was late evening when we arrived at the hotel, our request to right away bring the roll-out bed to the room was acceded to. Stepping into the room, we were glad to see that it was not cramped at all and I would advise those who are staying here that there is no need to book larger rooms as three people can easily stay comfortably in a single room.
The hotel has its own restaurant named Gardenia and what wonderful food there is to enjoy there, not to mention the excellent service!
On our departure of the fourth morning after three nights of a comfortable stay, we were given a take-away box of breakfast food as we were setting out early to the airport and the restaurant was not open.
