Changes in US immigration
Changes have made in the immigration system so that skilled
foreign workers, graduates and entrepreneurs will contribute to the economy. This
will benefit Indians who are legally in USA.
2. Students who are studying in USA can grab the opportunity to find a temporary job after completing their graduate program under the extended Optional Practical Training program.
3. Those having a Green Card were unable to switch to another job until the time they got citizenship. Now they can do so under the new immigration system.
4. A spouse of H-1B visa holder whose Green Card application has been approved will be allowed to work too.
5. An Indian IT company who wishes to transfer an employee to the company’s US operations will find it easier to do so under the L-1 visa category.
Who can apply
1. You should have been living in the USA for at least 5 years
and have a child who is born in the USA or holds citizenship.
