Khandela Haveli is a beautiful place to stay in when visiting Jaipur, its beauty inherent in its architectural style which accurately replicates that of the traditional style of Rajasthan's havelis (mansions.) There are more than 20 rooms, including a few suites, each with its own distinctive décor and furnishings.

Staying at Khandeli Haveli
We hated to leave from here - it was just a lovely place! The hotel layout and architectural style, as mentioned earlier, is an exact replica of a traditional Rajasthani mansion. At the same time, all modern comforts are available for guests.

The lobby area is a welcome sight with its pretty upholstered seating areas.

There is a courtyard with a marble fountain in the center and around on the upper level are the rooms with the passages enclosed by railings with traditional designs.




Everywhere you can see beautiful arches and frescoes, as also pictures which reflect the bygone eras of history.  

Dining areas are available in the restaurant as well as on the roof top. Traditional local cuisine as well as international cuisine is served. The view from the dining area on the ground floor, as also the interior itself within, was an eye-catching one, as can be seen from the images below:



The rooms are not cramped at all, but spacious and very comfortable, with clean and hygienic washrooms too.

Thai Curry, Tea and Tiramisu - Heady dining at CafeTrofima restaurant Mumbai

What's mentioned in the title of this post are three of the items on the menu which you should not miss out on, when dining at Café Trofima restaurant in Mumbai city. When it opened a year ago, the restaurant had a menu which was limited for vegetarians and was predominantly non-vegetarian food. On our second visit today, we were happy to see a much improved menu, both in terms of the menu layout itself (previously it was just a large sheet of thick paper, much like a large pamphlet, frayed at the edges. Now it is a cheery orange and blue one on the inside, albeit a dull brown outside though. There are more options for vegetarians as well. It goes without saying that, a year on, the prices have shot up too!!
